The Peruan Jungle
While I was leaving the house, my mum looked at me sadly. She knew that maybe I would never come back.
I had to walk through the jungle all by myself from Peru to the centre of Brazil. I was very scared but excited at the same time. The first night was the hardest. I didn't know where I was going to sleep. I climbed a tree and tried to sleep in it. While I was sleeping, a big spider walked over my leg. I got scared and fell to the ground. My leg started hurting and I couldn't move. I was very tired and fell asleep. When I woke up, I immediately started feeling the pain. It got better when I stopped thinking about it. I ate some bread and started walking. The rest of the week was ok. I didn't have to worry about the fire because it was summer at the time. I followed a river and it was very helpful. It gave me bath, water and food. One day while I was eating, I heard someone talking. I looked through the trees and saw three men and a dead tiger. They were carrying it somewhere. I tried to follow them but they saw me and threw a spear at me. It hit a tree and I started running. That was one of the scariest experiences I've ever had. The rest of the trip was good. I got to Brazil and found quickly my grandma's village. She was happy to see me and I was happy because I survived.
