My Contribution to the World
I'm Coco Chanel. I am a famous fashion designer.
I was born in France in 1883. I am famous for my timeless designs, trademark suits and little black dresses. I was a singer, too. My simple yet sophisticated outfits paired with great accessories were my famous outfits. My famous qoute is: ''Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury.'' My nickname Coco came during my career as a singer, in clubs Vichy and Moulins. My first shop was on Paris's Rue Combon. I was selling hats. The first dress was fashioned of an old jersey and a lot of people asked me where I got it. So, the most famous thing I am known for is my perfume. My most famous perfume is Chanel No. 5. It is made of flowery scents like jasmine, lilac and rose. The little black dress is my revolutionary design. I took a color associated with morning and showed just how chic it could be for an evening wear. I help women say goodbye to the days of corsets and other confining garments. Simple black dresses were likely to be linked with the clothing of servants. It is a departure from tradition. The other dresses are more fancy and colorful. The dress has pearls, low waist and long sleeves. I was tired of carrying a handbag in my arms so I decided to design a handbag. I added thin straps and introduced resulting design on the market. The design was called 2.55. Chanel 2.55 is a luxury leather handbag or a purse. The bag originally came with a front lock called Mademoiselle Lock referring to the fact that I would never going to marry.
